The quest for the next Bill Nye the Science Guy continues. Students in all cohorts worked on creating a science video that included a experiment demonstration. Students conducted this video project in two weeks. The first week included researching and creating a project outline. During second week, students used the first days to record their demonstrations. Then students spent the remaining two days to edit and put together their movie. Students used the camera on an iPad to record their demonstration. Then students dropped their footage in iMovie to begin editing and adding sound effects. Also, students used garage band to create music for their video. During this process, students collaborated to create their science video. Lastly, students participated in the Bill Nye Oscars in Room 4. Students walked the red carpet while being interviewed and photographed. During our award ceremony students view all videos and used the iMovie rubric to evaluate their peers. We used Edmodo polls to finalized the winners on May 22, 2017. Check out our red carpet moments below!
